After his worst TV moment Wednesday night (and that's saying something!), Rick Perry is all over your dial today -- including doing the Top 10 list on David Letterman -- trying to save his campaign.
The Texas governor and Republican presidential candidate botched it, he admits, at a debate Wednesday night when he forcefully said he would eliminate three federal departments and then, mid-answer, forgot what the third one was. "Oops," he said.
Asked today whether he would drop out of the campaign, Perry said: "It ain't a day for quitting nothing."
Perry was on the Today show, the Early Show, Good Morning America, Fox and Friends and CNN's American Morning.
Next up: Spoofing himself on Letterman tonight.
That should be pretty good. But too little, too late. Perry's campaign was already in trouble and a lot more people will have seen or known about his debate gaffe than will watch him on Letterman.
His next chance to redeem himself in a debate? In our backyard, in Spartanburg, on Saturday night.
